Asus před několika dny konečně oficiálně prezentoval svůj nový komunikátor P835, který by se měl stát nejvýkonnějším modelem tohoto výrobce. Někteří by sice mohli namítnout, že nejrychlejším komunikátorem je Asus P565, který jsme si nedávno představili v podrobné recenzi, ale při celkovém pohledu na specifikaci je na tom P835 o něco lépe. Nenabízí sice taky rychlý procesor, ale zase se může pochlubit velkým displejem s velmi jemným rozlišením. Velký důraz byl při vývoji kladen i na operační paměť a fotoaparát.
Model P835 nabídne operační systém Windows Mobile ve verzi 6.1 Professional, ale není vyloučeno, že se v budoucnu dočkáme i upgradu na verzi 6.5. Jsem rád, že nový Asus hraje sám za sebe a nedrží se trendu posledních komunikátorů, které z mě neznámého důvodu vypouštění důležité ovládací prvky a hardwarová tlačítka. Pro pohodlné ovládání operačního systému bude připraven trackball s funkcemi čtyřsměrového joysticku. V jeho okolí najdeme čtveřici dalších kláves (správce aplikací, Win, Ok a GPS) a samozřejmě nesmí chybět dvojice tlačítek pro příjem a ukončení hovoru. Červené sluchátko bude rovněž sloužit jako klávesa Power (dlouhý stisk = zapnutí/vypnutí přístroje). Ve spodní části telefonu pak narazíme na ještě jednu zajímavost, kterou je proužek potažený pravou kůží; ten dodává telefonu určitou eleganci. Nad displejem kromě telefonního repráčku narazíme i na světlocitlivý senzor, objektiv kamery pro videohovory a signalizační diodu.

Dominantou přední strany je prostorný dotekový displej s úhlopříčkou 3,5 palce a WVGA rozlišením (480×800px), který se výborně hodí nejen pro prohlížení internetových stránek. Ty bude možné zobrazovat nejen ve vestavěném Internet Exploreru, ale i v mobilní Opeře (9.5), která obohatí základní softwarovou výbavu. Na zadní straně přístroje nalezneme minimum rušivých prvků. Kromě odnímatelného krytu baterie tu najdeme objektiv 5 MPx fotoaparátu a hlavní systémový reproduktor. Fotoaparát sice disponuje automatickým ostřením, ale postrádá přisvětlovací diodu.
Asus P835 sází na komfortní ovládací prvky
Velmi dobře na tom P835 je i s pamětí; 288 MB RAM je velmi pěkné číslo, i když je potřeba počítat s tím, že určitou část si z ní ukrojí samotný operační systém a další procesy nezbytné pro běh telefonu. I tak lze ale očekávat, že se volná operační paměť bude pohybovat okolo hranice 160 MB. Pro uživatelská data bude připraveno 4 GB úložiště + zhruba dalších 100 MB z paměti Flash ROM. A aby toho nebylo málo, můžete pro ukládání vašich dat využít i paměťové karty standardu microSDHC. Chybět dále nebude integrované Wi-Fi a Bluetooth moduly, 20 kanálová GPS či podpora rychlých datových přenosů přes HSDPA. Srdcem celého telefonu bude 528 MHz procesor od Qualcommu.
V systému rovněž narazíme na množství bonusových aplikací, několik typů softwarových klávesnic a uživatelské prostředí Glide UI. To bude prezentováno pluginem na obrazovce Dnes, který nabídne přístup k základním systémovým funkcím. Glide rovněž do operačního systému přidá podporu pohybových gest a optimalizaci některých prvků pro snadnější ovládání pomocí prstů. Výrobce se chlubí tím, že Glide UI využívá technologie Flash, jsem proto velmi zvědavý, jak bude vše ve finále vypadat.
Zadní strana telefonu
Asus zatím stále neupřesnil, kdy se nový model P835 dostane na trh a stanovena nebyla ani cena. Některé zahraniční zdroje hovoří o tom, že bychom se s ním na pultech obchodů mohli setkat před začátkem léta, tak uvidíme, zda se tyto předzvěsti nakonec naplní. Asus P835 je velmi ambiciózní zařízení, které má rozhodně co nabídnout, a to především díky velmi dobré výbavě a elegantnímu designu.
